Delivery
Delivery Options
Having decided on which vehicles suit your needs it is only a matter of delivery. Generally there are two options regarding delivery:
Short-term delivery (from stock)
Today, we hold stocks of both left and right hand driven vehicles and motorcycles in Europe, Africa and Central Asia. From these stocks we can deliver to port within 1-2 weeks.
Long-term delivery (from the factory)
As an alternative you may consider delivery of your vehicle directly from production to your destination. This involves a production time of 12-14 weeks, plus shipping time.
Vehicles shipped from the factory are offered as a basic vehicle where you choose which extra options you want to have fitted during production. A list of options will be attached to your quotations.
*All shipments are subject to INCO terms 2000.
Transport Modes
In cooperation with our in-house shipping company, we offer delivery to almost any destination worldwide, which includes a Best Price Guarantee. Through this Guarantee we will match any freight rate provided there is documented proof. Our three standard transport methods include the following:
RO-RO Shipment
Using the RO-RO shipment method (roll-on/roll-off), the vehicle is shipped below deck along with a number of other vehicles. This solution is normally safe and inexpensive. Please note that we do not offer shipment on deck for safety reasons.
Container Shipment
Container shipment is a safer solution than the RO-RO method. The vehicle is secured inside a container and lifted on board the container vessel. This solution is more expensive than RO-RO, but is the safest one and ideal if you also plan to ship personal belongings from Europe.
Car Carrier
Car carriers are mainly used in combination with sea freighting when the vehicle needs to be delivered inland. On arrival at port the vehicle is transferred onto a car carrier for the rest of its journey. If you are ordering a vehicle from one of our stocks in Africa, delivery by car carrier will be used.
Import Inspection
In certain countries local authorities require an import inspection of goods upon arrival at port.
Normally, our clients are exempted from inspection of their imported goods, but we always recommend that you contact local authorities to have this confirmed. It is very important that a need for inspection is determined before shipment, as local customs authorities can require that local taxes and duties are paid before the vehicle is released from the port.
In case the country we are delivering to is subject to inspection we will inform you accordingly.
